Hello Everyone!
We greatly value the opinion of our parents and guardians here at Flomaton Elementary School. Please take a few minutes and complete the survey below to help us make FES the best educational experience for our students!
Virtual student meal pick up will begin Monday, August 24, 2020. Meal bags for 100% virtual learning students contain a breakfast and lunch, including fruits/veggies and milk for each meal. If you indicated in the pre-order form that you would like to pick up meals from Flomaton Lunchroom, pick up time is between 10:30-11:00. If you are not picking up a meal for a particular day, please call and notify the CNP Manager, Laura Bailey, at 251-296-2627. Please notify by 9:00 AM the day of pick up. I If there are three consecutive days of no cancellation calls and no pick up, your student may be removed from the list. A picture is attached to include the route you will need to take to pick up the meal(s). Please do not exit your car. CNP staff will be taking social distancing measures while distributing meals. If you'd like the staff to place meals in your trunk, have it open upon arriving. Students do not have to be present to receive a meal.

Alabama Broadband for Students Vouchers

On Friday, July 31, Governor Kay Ivey announced $100 million in CARES Act funding has been allocated for a public-private partnership to increase access to the internet for K-12 students attending school in the fall who may need internet service for distance learning. The program, called Alabama Broadband Connectivity (ABC) for Students, will provide home internet access vouchers for families of students currently eligible for free and reduced-price school meals, or other income criteria. The vouchers will help cover equipment and service costs for high-speed internet service from the fall through Dec. 31, 2020.
Providers will contract with the state through the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) to provide the service using existing lines and technologies. Families with children who receive free or reduced school lunch will be notified via a mailed letter in August with the program expected to run August through Dec. 30, 2020, in accordance with CARES Act guidelines. ADECA will administer the program and a website to assist Alabamians with questions as the program nears its launch can be found here...

Virtual Student/Parent Information

Escambia County Schools has developed a video presentation to explain the virtual option. The link is below. There are also videos on the link to give a glimpse of what the courses will look like.
Anyone who registered for virtual through the online registration process will be required to come to the school for a drive-up registration. During this registration, parents will sign a virtual school registration agreement and students/parents will be given login information. We recommend that virtual students supply their own device but if needed, a chrome book will be distributed at that time as well. Parents will sign a form assuming responsibility for the device. This registration will happen tentatively on August 19 from 9AM-12PM behind the school using the bus line. This may change to the front of the school through the car rider line but for now we will set it for behind school. Parent will be asked to enter via College Street which is located directly behind the playground. There will be no makeup date for this so please be sure to put this date on your calendars.
Once this process is complete, virtual students should be able to start their online course work.
There will be a video coming in the future that will guide parents through locating the schools PLP site and signing in to their account. Stay tuned and thanks for your patience!
